Volunteer Opportunity With Bhutanese/Nepal Refugee Population

Event Volunteer

There are close to 10,000 Bhutanese/Nepali refugees in Central Ohio area. The Bhutanese refugee population lived in refugee camps in Nepal for close to 20 years and began settling in North America, Australia, and Europe in 2008. Because of lack of schooling, a large number of adults and youth have limited or no reading or writing skills. If you have interest in tutoring either adults or youths or helping in other capacities, please be in touch with Binaya Subedi at subedi.1@osu.edu. There are various locations on Morse Road area (north side of Columbus) that provides educational services to the community.
