Cheryl Narumi Naruse is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Dayton. She teaches classes in postcolonial literature, literary theory, and writing. Dr. Naruse is completing a book manuscript, Incorporating Singapore: Postcolonial Capitalism and Transnational Mobility in the Twenty-first Century, which uses post-1997 Singapore literary and cultural productions to study the relationships among transnational mobility, postcolonial nationalism, and economic globalization. Her recent publications, including portions of the book manuscript are published or forthcoming in biography, Genre, Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies, and Verge: Studies in Global Asias.
