Add to Calendar 2014-10-07 17:30:00 2014-10-07 19:00:00 Pathways to Citizenship: An Interactive Discussion on Immigration We invite you to move through an interactive exhibit that places “What Part of Legal Immigration Don’t You Understand?” and “I Want the Wide American Earth” in dialogue with each other as touchstones for a facilitated discussion on immigration and 1965. These interactive visual exhibits will serve as common elements for attendees to begin deconstructing immigration narratives. Join us for dessert, drinks, and a discussion facilitated by Dr. Joe Ponce and Dr. Juanita Garcia. This event is part of ‘50 Years Later,’ a series that marks the 50th anniversary of the passage of the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act. The series examines the historical context and current legacies of this act.
