Title of Position: Program Assistant
Hiring Range: $25,200 – $31,500
Status: Non-exempt, full-time

Reports to: Director of Programs & Planning
Unit: Program
BASIC FUNCTION
This position is responsible for working with the Director of Programs & Planning (DPP) to implement the overall program development, quality improvement, and system coordination activities. Responsibilities include project, process and administrative support in all areas of program planning and development.
EFFECT ON END RESULTS
This position is primarily concerned with the achievement of the goals for the organization by ensuring there are sound program and system planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of program department activities and related initiatives as part of a long-term strategy to end homelessness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides staff support in areas of project and process management within the program department, including but not limited to developing project/process timelines, preparing and producing written materials, and writing and producing notes.
2. Provides staff support for new project initiatives and capacity building activities with partner agencies and/or other systems of care.
3. Provides staff support for the Columbus/Franklin County Continuum of Care (CoC) Steering Committee and related projects.
4. Provides staff support for coordinated planning, development and initiative implementation with other systems of care, such as the ADAMH, corrections, and healthcare systems.
5. Provides staff support for evaluation of program department projects.
6. Assists with planning, development and implementation of procedures, tools, and other practices to achieve partner agency and system goals.
7. Prepares monthly Program Activity Calendar and assists with partner agency communication related to program relations and planning.
8. Assists with program research related to best practices.
9. Maintains program department files and file management system.
10. Manages self and position responsibilities in a manner which is congruent with CSB values, mission, policies and procedures.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
1. Attends other agency and/or organizational meetings as requested.
2. Assures that effective communication is maintained within areas of responsibility.
3. Provides primary back-up coverage for the Front Office Assistant.
4. Provides back-up staffing for the Director of Programs and Planning and the Development and Communications Assistant.
5. Maintain complete and adequate files, records and documentation.
6. Active participant in program staff meetings.
7. Other duties as requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Congruence with agency mission and values.
2. At a minimum an Associate Degree with at least two years experience in an office setting.
3. Experience working with homeless and other disadvantaged populations preferred.
4. Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and pass a criminal background check.
