The Sixth Annual Images of You Multicultural Conference

Call for Programs
The Images of You Multicultural Conference for students is scheduled for April 22nd, 2006 at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The call for programs is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to present an experience that will encourage growth and development on issues of diversity and multicultural awareness. The conference will have several break-out sessions where participants can pick from a series of 50-minute programs to attend. If interested in presenting, please submit the proposal form below. The proposal form must be received by noon on Friday, March, 17th, 2006. We strongly encourage presenters to register for the conference at http://www.housing.osu.edu/ImagesOfYou/.
Proposal Requirements
Make sure to include this page with your proposal. Programs that are chosen will not only complete the proposal requirements, but will also be informative, innovative, original, and interactive. We will inform you of the status of your program proposal at the beginning of April. We encourage you to submit your proposal via email. Proposals should include the following:
* Program Name and Focus.
* Learning Objectives
* Outline of the program: Should showcase what direction you intend to go with the program, the type of audience the program is suited for, how you will utilize visual aids, and how the learning objective will be achieved.
* Program abstract that describes the purpose of your presentation (100 word maximum).
Sample Topics: Ability, Ageism, Language Barriers, Deaf Culture, History of Hate Groups, GLBT discrimination, International Student issues, Cultural Cues, White Privilege, Religion/Atheism, etc.
